Recently I had the pleasure of attending the "Back To School Day" run by KMEIA and VOSA and, as always, walked away with a heap of new songs, games and resources.
One of the finds I am most excited about is a choral work by the wonderful Ruth McCall and Nicole Thomson called "Sea Song".
It's written in Eb, the accompaniment is really straightforward and the piece contains a really easy secondary part which makes it perfect for choirs who are still quite new to part-singing.

I'm looking forward to introducing this to my junior choir in the coming weeks, as my love of shanties finally meets my love of well-written children's choral music.
